How to Estimate Flooring

When ordering flooring, you should always order more than your exact square footage to account for cuts, mistakes, and future repairs. This is called the waste percentage.

Standard Waste Percentages:

Hardwood & Laminate: Add 5% to 10%
Tile (Standard pattern): Add 10%
Tile (Diagonal pattern): Add 15%
Rooms with many angles: Add 15%
